Three terms that describe this book:

First Person Narrative
Mel and Emily might be twins but they see the world differently. Readers are able to see this with chapters that are written from their own thoughts.

The story is constantly moving as the characters look for ways to leave the farm and what unfolds after their escape. The chapters are short making it a page turner.

Readers are kept on the edge of their seats as they wait to see if Emily and Mel survive encounters with ticks.

  1. Great annotation, I've never heard of this one before. Is it part of a series? Full points!

  2. The series is called Farm. There is a prequel also.

  3. Teen fiction is always full of excitement, adventure told from a different perspective. I am not one for vampire stories, but the idea of twin sisters experiencing and conquering a threat is very appealing.

  4. Mel has autism and with chapters in first person you get to read her thoughts.
